General characteristics of PLC products
Basic components:
Central processing unit(CPU):responsible for executing program instructions, performing logical operations and data processing.
Memory:used to store system programs, user programs and data.System programs are written by the manufacturer and solidified in ROM or EPROM,while user programs and data are stored in RAM.
Input/output(I/O)interface:connected to external devices, receiving input signals and sending output signals to achieve interaction with field devices.
Power module:provides a stable power supply for PLC.
Functional features:
Logic control:realize complex logic control functions through programming.
Timing and counting:support timing and counting operations, used to control time-related processes.
Analog control:some PLCs support analog input and output to achieve control and processing of analog signals.
Communication function:supports multiple communication protocols, and can exchange data with host computers, other PLCs or field devices.
Application areas:
PLC is widely used in industrial automation fields, such as machine tools, injection molding machines, printing machinery, assembly production lines, electroplating lines, elevator control, etc.
In the semiconductor manufacturing process,PLC also plays an important role in controlling production equipment, monitoring production processes and ensuring production quality.
